ninth room with a multi-slice CT scanner for both diagnosis and treatment.

The multi-slice CT scanner is the only instrument of its kind in the lower part of South Carolina and works on both heart vessels as well as peripheral blood vessels. The center consolidates the heart cath and peripheral vascular procedure activities available on the MUSC campus, allowing patients to receive care in a more comfortable and convenient environment.

The MUSC Heart & Vascular Center is dedicated to overcoming the problem of heart and vascular diseases in South Carolina by serving as a leader in clinical care, research and prevention of cardiovascular disease.
