Speech-language pathology at the Evelyn Trammell Institute provides comprehensive adult in-patient and out-patient services.  Services are provided for patients who are hospitalized with speech-language disorders that may result from cancer treatment, stroke, head trauma, anoxic events and neurological disease.

We provide treatment for:

Voice
Cognitive deficits
Dysarthria
Aphasia
Apraxia
Memory disorders
Language

We provide therapy in the following areas:

Training of speech, language, voice and swallowing functions

Application of communication devices and mechanisms for patients with tracheostomy tubes, such as speaking valves, communication boards or alaryngeal devices
